M. Dacey

My late father saw her perform in Britain in the '50s before he emigrated here and always admired her vocal range. He was perhaps the only human on Earth who called a semi-forgotten, semi-novelty performer called Ivan Rebroff "the male Cleo Laine" thanks to his equally wide vocal range.

Given my folks' bizarre record collection, it's no wonder I like the older stuff, despite being smack in the middle of the punk rock demographic!
