I don't know why but there aren't that many male jazz singers here in Toronto. Of course, who cares about quantity when you've got quality like George Evans? Not one to hog the spotlight, in 2004 George decided to champion male jazz vocalists through the creation of Here Come The Boys: a Canadian Crooner Collection featuring 15 of our country's finest fellas. Along with success as a jazz singer, cabaret entertainer and producer, George is also an accomplished music archivist, broadcaster and jazz journalist. Spiritually and Emotionally - Being free of the baggage that makes it impossible to be free and in the moment. - What turns you off? Smells and discomfort - alone or together.
- What sound or noise do you love? Nature sounds. The ocean, birds and the breeze. Music that awakens those sensations (ex: Sarah Vaughan singing Key Largo)
- What sound or noise do you hate? Jack hammers and construction. The sound of the word "No"
- What is your favorite curse word? Fuck, because it's multipurpose.
- What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Chef.
